How to setup OBS Studio

Open Broadcaster Software (OBS) is a free and open-source cross-platform streaming and recording program. It provides real-time source and device capture, scene composition, encoding, recording, and broadcasting.

Adding CamON Live Streaming as an input source is very easy. Let's explore how.

Add CamON Live Streaming

From Sources, click + to add a new source, then select Media Source.

Create a new source, giving the name you like more.

Deselect Local File and enter the H.264 address in the Input field (more details here).

After confirming with OK, you should get both video and audio.

Hints

  • You can also use the address of the MJPEG stream, that looks like http://192.168.1.4:8080/video/mjpeg.
  • If you enabled the authentication, you can specify the credentials in the addresses, in the form rtsp://username:password@192.168.1.4:8080/video/h264 or http://username:password@192.168.1.4:8080/video/mjpeg
