How to setup OBS Studio

Open Broadcaster Software (OBS) is a free and open-source cross-platform streaming and recording program. It provides real-time source and device capture, scene composition, encoding, recording, and broadcasting.

Adding CamON Live Streaming as an input source is very easy. Let's explore how.

Add CamON Live Streaming

From Sources, click + to add a new source, then select Media Source.

Create a new source, giving the name you like more.

Deselect Local File and enter the H.264 address in the Input field (more details here).

After confirming with OK, you should get both video and audio.

  • You can also use the address of the MJPEG stream, that looks like
  • If you enabled the authentication, you can specify the credentials in the addresses, in the form rtsp://username:password@ or http://username:password@

The audio is available only when the H264 stream is used. MJPEG does not support audio.

Is the 'mic' icon appearing on the phone, in the bottom-right corner? If yes the audio should be there. Maybe the volume is just low, please try to increase the gain to +6/+12dB. Also check settings on OBS, monitor is not enabled by default.

A cada rato enciende la linterna y hace una alarma sonora., ¿Cómo se hace para deshabilitar?

It is the motion detection. Disable it or change the activation URL (check API documentation for details)
